Canada’s biggest block party and awards show, the Much Music Video Awards, have just announced the 2012 nominees and Coalition Music artists have three nominations, including a fan-voted Ur Fave category! Congratulations to These Kids Wear Crowns and Simple Plan!

Our Lady Peace landed in the Top Ten on Canada’s national sales chart with their latest effort, Curve! While a successful debut on its’ own, this marks the eighth consecutive album for OLP to make a top ten debut. Curve was recorded in Toronto and Los Angeles with co-producer Jason Lader (Mars Volta, Julian Casablancas, Rilo Kiley, Elvis Costello and Noah & the Whale). The album’s first single, “Heavyweight” is currently charted at #1 on Canada’s Mainstream Rock radio airplay chart.

The band is currently in the middle of a sold-out club tour across North America, the remaining dates can be found on their official website.

It was a huge weekend for Simple Plan at the Juno Awards last week as they received the Allan Waters Humanitarian Award for their ongoing devotion to helping youth and numerous charities through their work with the Simple Plan Foundation.

Prior to the Juno Awards broadcast on Sunday evening, the band was also presented with plaques celebrating one million units sold in Canada! This milestone comes just shortly after the band celebrated the 10 year anniversary of releasing their debut album.

Canadian Music Week has wrapped up and while we fight off the bags under our eyes, we’ve got so much to celebrate!

At the Canadian Music & Broadcast Industry Awards, Coalition Music was named Management Company of the Year!
