Coalition Entertainment is pleased to host a special artist showcase, featuring the up and coming artist Ashes.
Hailing from Windsor, ASHES (né Ashley Coulter) is a former Canadian Idol contestant from the fourth season. She finished an incredible 6th place overall, and left the experience with tools to better herself as a singer/performer. The exposure from being on the show was bigger than she could have imagined, and became the perfect stepping stone into the industry.
Through ‘Idol’, Ashes met EMI Music Publishing writer and production duo Duck Duck Goose (James Robertson – Down With Webster / Skye Sweetnam / Esthero / The Johnstones and Michael T. Fox – Die Mannequin) who took her under their wing. Through her friend Ryan “Legs” Leger (drummer for Every Time I Die) Ashes later met Canadian singing/songwriting sensation — and budding Video Director — Skye Sweetnam, who was so taken by Ashes’ talent and potential that she offered to use Ashes for her directorial debut.
“I feel the direction I’m moving in, and the music I have created collaborating with DDG has truly captured my personality,” says Ashes. “It’s Rock n’ Roll meets upbeat-high-energy, ready-to-have-a-good-time Dance music. I call it ‘Rock-Tronic’!”
The showcase will take place Thursday July 22 at The Drake Hotel in Toronto. Ashes will take the stage at 9pm SHARP so make sure you’re there well beforehand!

Sometimes all it takes is to cross a bridge and see what’s on the other side. Read the rest of this entry »
